TV bounty hunter out on bail

TV reality star bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman and two co-stars have posted bail. They were arrested Thursday on charges of illegal detention and conspiracy stemming from the capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster three years ago in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

A judge in Honolulu released Chapman on 300 thousand dollars bond and the two others on bonds of 100 thousand dollars each. The three are required to wear electronic monitoring devices until they return to court for extradition hearings to face trial in Mexico.

Luster had fled to Mexico during his U.S. trial on charges he raped three women. His capture by Chapman catapulted the 53-year-old bounty hunter to fame and led to the reality series. Luster is now serving 124 years in prison.

Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico. The three posted bail after their arrest there but never returned for their court hearing.
