Daniel Craig will return as 007

With his big screen debut as James Bond in 'Casino Royale' due in cinemas on 17 November, it has been confirmed that Daniel Craig will return as 007 for a second film.
With Casino Royale due for release in November 2006, it seems Dan has done enough to impress the producers, who've bagged him for the 22nd Bond film.

The Hollywood Reporter says that producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said yesterday that Craig would return for the 22nd film in the Bond series, which has the working title 'Bond 22'.

“As we wrap production on Casino Royale, we couldn’t be more excited about the direction the franchise is heading with Daniel Craig,” producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a Los Angeles news release from Sony Pictures.
The film has been penciled in for release on 2 May 2008, with 'Notting Hill' and 'Enduring Love' director Roger Michel in negotiations to helm the movie; Craig starred in 'Enduring Love'.

The 2008 release will be the 22nd film in the action franchise, whose previous Bonds have included Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.
