The world-exclusive interview of Kylie Minogue

The Kylie Interview will screen exclusively on the Nine Network on Monday, July 17 at 8.35pm. It will be the first television interview given by Kylie Minogue after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May, 2005.

In the world-exclusive interview, conducted in the UK by Cat Deeley, Kylie will discuss the pain and struggle of the past year, as well as her hopes for the future and her ambition to raise awareness for the disease, which affects approximately 12,000 women and men in Australia alone.

When the special premieres on Nine, it will also feature additional material for Australia only. Kylie will discuss how emotional her return to Australia will be and her plans for spending Christmas down-under. The interview will also include exclusive home video footage of her trip to Sri Lanka late last year. Nine Network Director of Programming Michael Healy said: "Kylie is not only an Australian icon but a woman who has experienced enormous hardship over the last year. Her story is one that many Australians relate to".

She will also talk about her Showgirl Tour, which was postponed on the eve of its Australian leg when Kylie was originally diagnosed in Melbourne, and her upcoming work on a new album. The program takes an in-depth retrospective look at the worldwide Kylie phenomenon, tracking her career from teenage TV soapy starlet to international pop icon and future children's author of The Showgirl Princess.
