Canada’s pop-punk marries in the US

The 21-year-old skater chick - who's recently dabbled in Hollywood movies, Avril Lavigne - has become the wife of Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley, according to US reports.

The Canadian singer said 'I do' in front of 110 guests at an outside ceremony at a luxurious estate in Montecito, California. The original date for the big day was for some time in August, but members of the young couple's families and friends were informed of the new plans just days ago to avoid the media hype.

Avril and Deryck, 26, have been dating since early 2004 and got engaged in June 2005 during her European tour.
