The authorities will force Britons to switch off TVs

The authorities of Great Britain plan to oblige the developers of TVs, DVD-player and other household equipment to refuse from mode of expectation Standby, at which the devices do not function, however consume the electric power. The officials have decided to resort to such measures with the purpose to use sparingly the electricity, informs Times.

Because of this initiative of the British officials the design of TVs, washing machines and even of computers will be changed. In the report of Energy Review is talk about the devices which are working in a mode of expectation, it is necessary about 8 percents from all consumed electric power on the territory of Great Britain.

The interdiction on a mode of expectation becomes one of stages of the program on reduction of power inputs on the Great Britain territory, meant for 20 years. The government of Great Britain hopes that the measures, took by them promote general reduction of power consumption on 31 percents.
