Orasio Alisondro - the main arbiter of World Cup-2006

Argentinian Orasio Alisondro is nominated the main arbiter of a final match of World Cup-2006 on football, which July 9 was finished in Germany. He became first referee in the history of World Cup-2006, who entrusted to serve the opening (Germany - Costa Rica, 4:2) and ending (Italy - France) of the match.

On a present World Cup Alisondro served already four matches, including the quarter-final duel between England and Portugal (1:3 on eleven-metre penalty kick).

The basic profession 42-year's Alisondro - teacher of physical culture. He became the professional arbiter in 1994, and in 1996 carried out the first international match, in which Ecuador and Colombia met. In one's spare time he plays golf and writes poems.
