Businesses and consumers who purchased computers with Microsoft Corp. software preinstalled or bought the company's programs through a reseller can't sue for antitrust violations, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday. A New York firm says Internet access via cell phones outpaces wireless access from a notebook personal computer in many areas of the world. Ipsos Insight says the reason is the 'massive install base' of mobile phones throughout the world, as well as improving wireless networks. Walt Disney Co. CEO Michael Eisner is investing in a small company that hopes to create an Internet-based television delivery system.
